Mini-Series: What is a FIX log parser? 700 459 FixSpec

In this mini-series as part of #doFIXdifferently, Chris Lees introduces FIX log parsers; what they are, how they can help you and your team, and takes a look at some examples of parsers currently available.

A FIX log parser is useful for any FIX team to take very technical log files and convert them into something easily understandable. They can be used to quickly spot errors in messages and to troubleshoot. They make it easy for non-technical users to be able to understand what is going on in your logs, but should not be confused with log storage.
