Our cloud-based installation deployment can be as fast as a couple of days. It really depends on how many specs and scenarios need to be uploaded, and availability of your IT team to coordinate access to log files.

Yes, we can guide you through the process of getting set up with the fixspec platform, taking care of the initial upload of specs, customers and scenarios, and work with you over time to get the most out of the platform.

The fixspec platform is designed to be protocol agnostic, meaning we can also handle binary protocols. We currently support exchange clients offering  ITCH market data feeds alongside proprietary protocols.

Although fixspec isn’t specifically designed for regression testing, it may be possible to use the platform for QA depending on your requirements. Please get in touch to find out more.

We work with some of the worlds biggest banks, exchanges, and trading venues, including the London Stock Exchange Group, UBS investment bank, and Refinitiv.

Yes, we can provide you with a sandbox with example data. Depending on your requirements, we can also discuss a POC set-up where we can upload one of your specs, and you will be able to upload logs to see how the platform works with real data (although there is a refundable fee for this).

We retain logs on the platform for 10 days, after which time we store a further 20 days of historical data in the back-end which can be quickly restored on-demand. Formal certification results are kept forever to provide a regulatory audit trail. We can tailor the storage of historical data depending on your requirements and observed volumes.

The fixspec platform is designed for the cloud, however if you do require an in-house installation, please contact us to discuss the options.

We will take care of the initial upload for you and train your team to take over maintenance once ready.

The platform can be used to monitor both inbound (from customer) and outbound (to market) connections. The certification logic is designed to certify that customers can correctly interface inbound to your API.

Not at all – we see the flexibility of FIX as a reason for its success. Our goal is to help onboarding teams streamline their processes and better manage, document, and test what makes their API unique.

Due to the non-standardisation of spec documentation, it isn’t possible to upload a Word spec directly to the platform. Simply send us the spec and we will upload for you as part of our initial set-up.

Simple document versioning is a core feature of Cloud Specifications. You simply clone your existing specs when you have a new release to deploy, and make the appropriate changes. Cloud Specifications keeps track of any changes and provides advanced functions to compare fields/messages across different versions.

You can export your spec as a branded Word, PDF or Excel file. We also offer the machine-readable, open-source FinSpec JSON schema (which is also available as a web API). FIX specifications can also be exported to various XML formats including QuickFIX, FIXML, FIX Unified and FIX Orchestra.

Our platform is fully-supported, with a standard SLA providing support hours between 7 am – 6 pm UK time (weekdays). We also have teams available in Asia. Our response and resolution times are some of the fastest anywhere in the industry.

FIX Workspace

A workspace can either be personal (just for you) or shared with other members of your team. Personal workspaces are designed for people who just want the basic functionality and don’t work with a wider team. By creating a Teams workspace, you can invite multiple people to join and share all elements of the app, including access to the same log files in Parser, access to shared Specs where you can work collaboratively on documentation, and share updates and workspace activity on a shared dashboard.

The Workspace app was built from the ground up with security at its core. As a software company specialising in the financial services industry, we understand the requirements from firms when it comes to data security. The Workspace app was built to run locally on your machine, whether that’s in the browser or in the desktop app. All log data, including log files, never leave your secure network, and all spec data is end-to-end encrypted using industry-standard processes and implementation.

We appreciate that user needs can change, either due to the ebb and flow of customer projects, or when a member of the team leaves the company. Our pricing is therefore based on active users per month. This means that, if someone doesn’t log in within a calendar month, there will be no charge for that user.
